AreaIncharge - Instrumentation
Purpose:
Ensuringoperation of all instrumentation and control systems within a plant during ashift.
Responsibility:
- Perform routine inspections, preventivemaintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of instrumentation systems,such as flow, pressure, temperature, level, and analytical instruments.
- Ensure all instruments are operating withinspecifications and calibrate as necessary to maintain accuracy.
- Coordinate or perform repairs to instrumentsand associated equipment in case of failure.
- Monitor and maintain control systems (DCS,PLC, SCADA) to ensure optimal performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety,environmental, and regulatory documentation requirements.
- Supervise the instrumentation maintenanceteam during the shift, ensuring efficient task allocation and support.
- Startup / Shutdown as per operatingprocedures.
- Suggest and implement improvements tooptimize instrumentation performance and reliability.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenanceactivities, calibration logs, and work orders.
- Coordinatewith Procurement department for instrumentation system related items.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to safetynorms.
Educational Qualification:
BE/ B-Tech in Instrumentation & Control
Years of Experience:
3 to 6 years of experience in Chemical/Petrochemical Industry
Knowledge :
- Knowledge of DCS, ESD, FGS & PLC system troubleshootingpreferably Schneider, Honeywell make DCS, Triconex make ESD & Siemens PLC.
- Knowledge ofinstrumentation installation, configuration & commissioning.
- Knowledge of instrument maintenance, overhaul and repair.
- Ability to read and understand engineering design drawings.
- Knowledge of IMS documentation.
