Job summary

SGV & Co. in Makati, Philippines, seeks a transaction diligence professional to support mergers, acquisitions, and capital-raising activities.

You will conduct financial due diligence, analyse targets, and contribute to strategic advisory efforts, working closely with clients and senior teams. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in accountancy or finance with 3+ years of relevant experience; a CPA licence is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or finance with at least three years of relevant work experience.
• CPA licence would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Participate in financial due diligence engagements related to transactions involving private equity investor groups and strategic corporate buyers.
• Analyze the financial and operational results of businesses to be acquired or sold through reviewing accounting records and interviews with management.
• Work effectively as a team member by maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress.
• Prepare analyses of historical and pro forma financial information to assess trends and fluctuations that may impact cash flow requirements and deal valuation.
• Perform industry and company research utilizing online tools and publicly available information.
• Assist in researching technical accounting issues to evaluate implications on transaction valuation and structuring.
• Assist in preparing reports and schedules delivered to clients and other parties.
• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel.

In Transaction Diligence services, we help organisations conduct thorough assessments of potential transactions to identify risks and opportunities. Our offerings include financial analysis, operational reviews, and compliance evaluations tailored to support informed decision-making. Your Key Responsibilities

Skills And Attributes For Success

• Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or finance with at least three years of relevant work experience
• CPA licence would be advantageous

• Strong analytical skills, able to analyse financial and non-financial information to formulate views and conclusions
• Strong presentation and report writing skills
• A proven record of excellence in audit and/or mergers or acquisitions transactions role.
• Experience gained within another large professional services organisation.
