TRANSMEDIC PHILIPPINES, INC. is seeking a Field Service Engineer to perform repair, installation, commissioning, upgrades, and preventive maintenance for medical equipment.
You will provide technical support during seminars and workshops, diagnose faults, and carry out onsite repairs and remote support. The role requires reading technical manuals and schematics, strong analytical and customer service skills, and a willingness to travel and work on-site, including local outstation assignments as
a) Perform repair, installation, commissioning, upgrades and after sales preventive maintenance to the customer.
b) Provide technical support for sales team during seminars, demo, exhibition and workshops.
c) Diagnose and troubleshoot faults and carry out onsite repairs and remote support using manufacturer training methodologies and service manuals.
d) Calibrate and verify equipment performance according to manufacturer specifications.
e) Document service activities and maintain accurate service records aligned with company and manufacturer requirements.
f) Provide basic troubleshooting and basic preventive maintenance training to Biomedical Engineers.
g) Coordinate with manufacturers for technical support, order of spare parts and warranty claims.
h) Coordinate with internal teams for efficient service scheduling and execution.
i) Update knowledge of equipment upgrades, technical advisories released by manufacturer.
j) Ensure professional customer engagement and high-quality service delivery.
k) Provide on-call duties, emergency response, and after office hours support.
l) Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and hospital policies.
m) Travel locally and work outstation as required.
n) Perform other duties that maybe assigned by the management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or relevant qualification.
- 1–3 years’ experience in medical equipment or technical support.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Possess excellent analytical skills, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to travel and work on-site.
- Experience working with hospital equipment or in a clinical environment.
- Basic networking and IT knowledge for integration of medical devices.
- Familiarity with warranty processes and manufacturer coordination
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Vendor certification or manufacturer training is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Time management and ability to prioritize urgent tasks.
- Know how to drive and with valid driver license.
