Job summary

UST is seeking a Z/OS Systems Engineer to support and enhance our enterprise platform. The role focuses on z/OS administration, CICS management, TLS encryption, and secure, reliable operations in a hybrid z/OS + cloud environment.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of hands-on z/OS experience, strong CICS skills, and familiarity with ICTF, RACF-like security tools, and enterprise monitoring platforms. Collaboration across security, cloud, and infrastructure teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of hands-on z/OS production experience.
• Solid CICS configuration, performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Experience with TLS, encryption and secure communications on z/OS.
• Hands-on with ICTF, cryptographic services and key management.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as MainView, Datastream, Dynatrace.
• Strong diagnostic skills using system logs, dumps and IBM tools.
• Able to work in a fast-paced hybrid z/OS + cloud environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day z/OS admin and subsystem support.
• Manage and troubleshoot CICS regions and runtimes.
• Implement TLS and encryption across z/OS components.
• Manage ICTF including key lifecycle and crypto operations.
• Monitor performance and ensure high availability.
• Participate in upgrades, patching and maintenance.
• Analyze logs and diagnostics to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with security, cloud, and infrastructure teams in hybrid env.
• Ensure adherence to standards and operational docs.
• Contribute to disaster recovery planning and tests.
