Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a Senior Mainframe z/OS Architect with 5+ years of hands-on and design-level experience across HW, SW, OS, ISV, storage, and security. You will engage with a multi-site data center environment (5K MIPS+), support IBM and OEM/ISV products, and drive DR readiness and performance tuning.

The role emphasizes SLA-driven architecture proposals, licensing, and ROI planning, aligning with complex mainframe workloads and enterprise-scale needs.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on architectural experience with IBM mainframe platforms.
• Experience across multi-site data centers and large MIPS environments.
• Knowledge of DR planning, zoning, and mainframe performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Provide design/architect level expertise for Mainframe z/os environments.
• Support IBM and OEM/ISV products and DR readiness activities.
• Derive SLAs and propose architectures to meet goals.
• Oversee capacity planning, licensing, and TCO/ROI considerations.
