Job summary

Wawa, Inc. seeks a Senior Software Engineer, Workday to design, develop, and support the Workday platform and integrations with internal and external systems. The role emphasizes security, PCI compliance, maintenance of custom Workday extensions, and end‑to‑end project leadership.

You will work with cross‑functional teams to estimate effort, implement scalable solutions, and ensure high-quality deliverables while growing technical knowledge in new technologies and practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a technical discipline preferred, or relevant certifications.
• 5 to 7 years of related work experience.
• Fluent in Workday Integrations.
• Working knowledge of Workday Extend.
• Minimum of three years’ experience operating and managing in a large‑scale Windows/Linux environment.

Responsibilities

• Translate functional requirements into technical design aligned with Wawa’s open architecture and security standards.
• Develop software following Wawa standards and testing practices; ensure correctness and maintainability.
• Prepare and execute technical tests and user acceptance testing; support integration testing where possible.
• Package releases, document dependencies, and create support documentation for deployments.
• Monitor support queues, identify trends, and perform code remediation to reduce incidents.
