Job summary

Pinoy SEO is seeking a Senior WordPress Developer with SEO strategy experience to join our in-house marketing team. The role focuses on WordPress development (75–80%) and SEO strategy (20–25%), working on large Australian multi-location sites to deliver fast, SEO-friendly solutions.

You will diagnose issues, improve performance, and contribute strategic ideas that enhance user experience, search visibility, and long-term growth in a collaborative, office-based setting.

Qualifications

• 4+ years WordPress/Web Development experience.
• 2+ years SEO experience, preferably Technical SEO.
• Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WordPress themes, templates, and plugins.
• Experience optimizing website speed, performance, and Core Web Vitals.
• Working knowledge of Google Search Console, GA4, and Screaming Frog.
• Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals: schema markup, internal linking, crawlability, site hierarchy, indexation.
• Excellent English communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset.
• Bonus: experience with service-based industries, GenerateBlocks/Elementor, website rebuilds and migrations, high-page-count sites, SEO automation or AI tools, UI/UX principles, mentoring juniors.

Responsibilities

• Improve website speed, responsiveness, Core Web Vitals, performance, caching, plugin configurations, and integrations.
• Troubleshoot website bugs, server-related issues, and manage staging and deployment environments while ensuring clean, efficient, and scalable code.
• Audit existing websites, diagnose technical and structural issues, identify root causes, determine whether websites should be repaired or rebuilt, and provide well-supported recommendations with minimal SEO impact.
• Develop websites with SEO best practices, including site architecture, indexation, internal linking, schema markup, crawlability, and page hierarchy.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to support website rebuilds, migrations, technical SEO improvements, and scalable SEO strategies.

Requirements Qualifications
