Job summary

GECO Philippines is hiring a Senior Wintel and Cloud Infrastructure Administrator to support and maintain enterprise Windows Server, cloud infrastructure, virtualization, storage, and backup environments. You will ensure availability, performance, security, and recoverability across on-premises and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure Administration.
• Strong hands-on experience in Windows Server and Wintel administration.
• Experience supporting data center, virtualization, cloud, and backup environments.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V.
• Hands-on experience with Veeam, Commvault, or Veritas NetBackup.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure; AWS experience is an advantage.
• Experience with enterprise storage technologies is preferred.
• Basic to intermediate PowerShell scripting skills.
• Experience with monitoring, ITSM, patch management, and infrastructure security tools.

Responsibilities

We’re Hiring: Senior Wintel and Cloud Infrastructure Administrator

We are looking for a Wintel and Cloud Infrastructure Administrator to support and maintain enterprise Windows Server, cloud infrastructure, virtualization, storage, and backup environments.

The role is responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, security, and recoverability of IT infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. The ideal candidate has strong Windows Server and data center administration experience, with hands-on exposure to cloud platforms and enterprise backup solutions.

Deployment Setup

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)

Key Responsibilities

Windows & Data Center Administration

• Administer and maintain Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 environments.
• Manage and troubleshoot Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Perform server patching, firmware upgrades, health checks, and performance monitoring.
• Support virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere/ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Troubleshoot server availability, performance, and infrastructure-related incidents.

Cloud Infrastructure

• Support Microsoft Azure and AWS infrastructure and workloads.
• Assist with cloud provisioning, monitoring, scaling, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Support hybrid cloud connectivity and infrastructure monitoring.
• Maintain technical documentation for cloud configurations and procedures.

Backup & Recovery

• Administer enterprise backup solutions such as Veeam Backup & Replication, Commvault, or Veritas NetBackup.
• Monitor backup jobs, investigate failures, and resolve backup alerts.
• Perform restore and recovery testing to ensure data recoverability.
• Maintain backup schedules, retention policies, and related documentation.

Storage & Monitoring

• Support SAN/NAS storage environments such as NetApp, Dell EMC, or HPE.
• Work with iSCSI, NFS, and SMB storage protocols.
• Monitor infrastructure health, capacity, and performance using tools such as SolarWinds, SCOM, Nagios, or equivalent.
• Respond to infrastructure incidents and service requests through ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow or BMC Remedy.

Security & Automation

• Apply security patches and infrastructure hardening standards.
• Support vulnerability management, access reviews, audits, and compliance activities.
• Work with endpoint protection and vulnerability scanning tools such as Qualys or Tenable.
• Use PowerShell for administration and automation.
• Exposure to Ansible

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure Administration or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience in Windows Server and Wintel administration.
• Experience supporting data center, virtualization, cloud, and backup environments.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V.
