Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior UI Technical Designer to translate UX/visual direction into production-ready UI specifications and prototypes for Unreal Engine. This role bridges design and engineering by defining flows, interaction behavior, navigation rules, and component standards that ship reliably across platforms and input methods.

Qualifications

• 3+ years shipping UI for digital products or game UI.
• Expert-level proficiency in Figma with components, variants, auto-layout, and handoff-ready documentation.
• Ability to create implementation-ready documentation: annotated layouts, interaction notes, state diagrams, and acceptance criteria.
• Practical understanding of Unreal UI constraints and workflows.
• Familiarity with UMG concepts to design within engine realities.
• Understanding of focus-based navigation and multi-input requirements.
• Experience designing responsive UI for multiple resolutions and safe-area considerations.
• Proficiency in English at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2+).

Responsibilities

• Define UI flows, user journeys, and interaction models; produce clear, implementable specs.
• Build and maintain a scalable UI component system that supports consistent implementation.
• Author detailed behavior rules: navigation/focus order, back behavior, input handling expectations, error/empty/loading states, and edge cases.
• Collaborate daily with client engineers and UI artists to ensure designs are feasible, performant, and consistent in-engine.
• Support iteration and polish: review implementations, provide actionable feedback, and adjust designs based on constraints and QA findings.
