Job summary

The Maya team invites an Underwriting Operations Manager to lead end-to-end credit assessment for corporate lending in the Philippines. You will balance risk, efficiency, and growth while guiding a skilled underwriting group.

You will collaborate with Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Portfolio teams to ensure compliant decisions and healthy loan performance. This role drives process improvements and requires 5–7 years in corporate credit underwriting.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of corporate credit underwriting or credit risk experience.
• Strong financial analysis and cash-flow evaluation skills.
• Familiarity with BSP regulations, credit governance, and lending frameworks.
• Experience leading or mentoring underwriters or analysts.

Responsibilities

• Lead underwriting for corporate loan applications, renewals, and amendments within your authority.
• Ensure credit decisions follow internal policies, risk frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage and develop a team of underwriters; provide guidance on complex credit cases.
• Collaborate with Business Units, Credit Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Collections on deal structuring and exception handling.
• Monitor portfolio quality, turnaround time, and process performance; drive system/workflow improvements.
• Support the Credit Operations Head in achieving underwriting and portfolio objectives.
