Job summary

Maya is seeking an Underwriting Operations Specialist in the Philippines to support day-to-day credit operations and data analysis within our lending business. The role contributes to underwriting decisions by evaluating policies and risk factors in line with BSP regulations.

The candidate will prepare risk assessment reports and work closely with business leaders to achieve objectives, bringing strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to a fast-paced financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of any course related to Business Management and/or Statistics / Mathematics
• 3-5 years of lending business experience in financial institution
• At least 1-2 years of experience in credit card underwriting
• Further training or studies is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Assist the business leaders in the achievement of business objectives specifically in the following functions: Day-to-day credit operations
• Regular and ad-hoc data analysis
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
• Evaluates policies with regards to the company’s underwriting standards
• Prepare reports that detail risk assessment findings that contribute to the final decision.
