About The Role
This is an eight-month, full-time, day-shift, project-based engagement from 12 October 2026 to 30 June 2027. You must be available to start on 12 October 2026. Work is hybrid: two days per week onsite at an office in Makati City, with the remaining days remote. You will support mobile product delivery for a major Philippine bank. Depending on performance and the client's needs, strong contributors may be considered for absorption by the client organization. As a Senior UI/UX Designer, you will shape native mobile experiences that are clear, accessible, and trustworthy. Working with product, iOS, Android, and backend teammates, you will carry design from research and user flows through interface systems and implementation review, including experiences that may involve accounts, authentication, and sensitive customer tasks.
What you'll do
- Lead end-to-end product design for iOS and Android, from problem framing and user flows through high-fidelity interface design
- Partner with product and engineering to define interaction patterns, information architecture, and feature behavior before build starts
- Design reusable components, screen patterns, and specifications that iOS and Android teams can implement consistently
- Produce prototypes and handoff materials that cover states, edge cases, errors, empty states, and accessibility
- Plan research, usability reviews, and design critique appropriate to the project stage, and use the findings to revise the design
- Apply usability and accessibility standards so tasks stay understandable across devices and user capabilities
- Review implemented screens with developers and QA, and close gaps between the design and the shipped product
- Document design decisions, patterns, and accessibility expectations so the team can reuse them
What you'll bring
- Availability to start full-time on 12 October 2026, work day-shift hours, and attend onsite work in Makati City two days per week through 30 June 2027
- 5 or more years of professional UI/UX or product design experience, including shipped mobile application work
- A portfolio that shows user flows, wireframes, prototypes, visual design, and the decisions behind them
- Strong proficiency in Figma, including components, variants, prototyping, and structured developer handoff
- Practical understanding of iOS Human Interface Guidelines and Android Material guidance
- Experience designing complex flows such as onboarding, authentication, forms, navigation, and error recovery
- Working knowledge of accessibility, including contrast, touch targets, labels, and focus order
- Clear communication with engineers, product managers, and other non-design stakeholders
- Ability to balance craft, delivery timelines, and implementation constraints
Nice to have
- Experience designing banking, payments, fintech, or other products that handle transactions, authentication, or sensitive customer data
- Experience building or governing a design system used by both iOS and Android
- Familiarity with usability testing, research synthesis, and measuring experience quality after release
- Understanding of secure interaction patterns such as biometrics, step-up verification, and session states
- Experience in Agile delivery alongside mobile engineers, backend engineers, and QA
