Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer I‑Test Hardware to support test-hardware architecture, circuit and board design, instrumentation, interfaces, fixtures, integration, validation, and lifecycle support. This role targets candidates with 5–7.5 years of relevant experience.

You will lead hardware development activities, from schematic design through release, and collaborate across global teams to ensure robust test solutions for wafer probe and final test operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronics/computer engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5–7.5 years of relevant experience in test-hardware architecture and design.
• Strong instrumentation, debugging, validation, and lifecycle support capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and release reliable test hardware for wafer probe and final test operations.
• Plan and manage hardware development projects with cross-functional coordination.
• Lead hardware development activities from schematic design to release.
• Develop ATE test hardware including tester resources and interfaces.
• Prepare clear technical documentation and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Use Altium Designer to capture schematics and prepare design packages.
