Job summary

Ascendion in the Philippines is seeking a QA/Software Tester to design and execute test scenarios and test cases, ensuring tagging priority and team collaboration.

You will log defects with evidence, retest fixes in SIT, and contribute to automation strategies to support regression testing based on analysis and complexity.

The role emphasizes adherence to software testing best practices, and requires thorough review of requirements, specifications, and user documentation to guide test development.

Responsibilities

• Create test scenarios, and test cases with proper tagging priority, and brainstorm with Team
• Log defects for any test deviation, attach evidence, and assign proper severity and priority.
• Retest defects fix once deployed in SIT environment and provide test evidence/s
• Develop Automation strategy to support regression testing based on the technical analysis, complexity and reusability
• Maintain solid understanding of software testing best practices, methodologies and terminology
• Review requirements, specifications, user documentation and other project documentation for the tests to be developed
• Execute all the test cases (Functional, SIT and Regression), and provide test evidences
• Documents scripts with comments to provide insight to test logic
• Work with the Development team to capture test evidence of the Developer (for retest of defect only) and Unit Test results
• Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different teams
• Inform the test manager and/or lead of any issues that may affect the schedule, or quality of the product or the testing process.
