Job summary

Deutsche Bahn is seeking a Senior Telecom Design Engineer with OCC expertise to lead design and development of telecom and OCC systems for rail projects in the Philippines. You will deliver conceptual and detailed designs, specifications, and integration plans across hardware, software, and IACS-based architectures.

Occasional on-site support may be required. You bring a minimum of 6 years in OCC systems, a degree in electrical/electronics/computer science, and strong communication skills to

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics, electrical, computer science, or a related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience designing and developing Telecom & OCC systems, preferably in railway projects.
• Proficiency in design of Unified HMI solution for OCC System and knowledge of virtualized platforms.
• Experience with OCC-BOCC switchover scenarios, video walls design, and AI for OCC operation.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external clients.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site support.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual design, feasibility studies, and detailed design documents for telecom and OCC systems.
• Design and develop OCC systems including hardware, software, and system architecture.
• Act as final authority on technical design matters to ensure contractual and maintenance compliance.
• Estimate manpower requirements for design Telecom and OCC systems and support bids.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate OCC systems with railway infrastructure.
• Stay updated on industry trends to provide cutting-edge solutions.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements for rail telecom and OCC systems.
• Work on telecom subsystems like backbone networks, radio, cables, and safety systems.
