Job summary

Manulife is seeking an experienced Software Technical Program Manager to drive test automation initiatives and programs across agile teams. The role emphasizes learning agility, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with SMEs to align with the organization’s technology strategy.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manages programs, from strategy creation to execution to delivery to completion while monitoring and reporting their status to stakeholders throughout the program lifecycle.
• Ensures progress against milestones requiring consistent and coordinated implementation.
• Maintains a perspective on impact of change.
• Develops patterns and documentation to ensure ongoing maintenance of technical and regulatory solutions.
• Collaborates with Subject Matter Experts across topics to understand implications on the technology strategy.
• Oversees programs with top-down oversight to ensure success in scope, budget, and timeline.
• Translates requirements for multi-disciplinary, complex programs into technical specifications across projects.
• Identifies stakeholders and their roles, keeping them updated and incorporating feedback.
• Evaluates and defines existing technology standards to ensure compliance with program requirements.
• Works with partner teams to redesign process flows when necessary.
• Tracks emerging technology and policy trends that might affect operations.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Software Technical Program Manager who can learn with agility in order to develop, continuously evolve test automation scripts, support quality and reliability initiatives in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

Position Responsibilities

• Manages programs, from strategy creation to execution to delivery to completion while monitoring and reporting their status to the program stakeholders and all involved parties throughout the program's lifecycle.
• Ensures progress against important milestones where consistent and coordinated implementation is required.
• Maintains a perspective on impact of change.
• Develops patterns and documentation to ensure ongoing maintenance of technical and regulatory solutions.
• Collaborates with Subject Matter Experts across various topics to understand implications on the organization’s technology strategy.
• Oversees programs with top-down oversight throughout the entire execution to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline.
• Translates requirements for multi-disciplinary, complex programs into technical specifications applicable across a broad range of projects.
• Identifies stakeholders and their roles, keeping them updated on the progress of the project, addressing their concerns, seeking, and implementing their feedback.
• Evaluates and defines existing technology standards to ensure compliance with program-level requirements.
• Works with partner teams to redesign process flows when necessary.
• Tracks emerging technology and policy trends that might affect operations.

Required Qualifications

• A background of 5-10 years performing test automation alongside manual coding work.
• 3 to 5 years of experience leading and managing teams.
• Excellent organizational skills

• Responds well to ambiguity and works efficiently to clarify situations and outcomes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Performance Testing
• Experience with ServiceNow (SNOW) or managing change processes within the ServiceNow platform.
• Experience leveraging GitHub Actions to automate development and deployment processes
