Job summary

Datacom is seeking a Senior Team Lead - Accountant to steer a capable accounting team in delivering accurate financial information and analyses. You will oversee reconciliations, ledger maintenance, and month-end close while championing internal controls and cross-functional collaboration.

The role blends strategic leadership with hands-on accounting, requiring strong ERP knowledge (Oracle) and Advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualification is required.
• Experience leading a high performing accounting team.
• Experience with ERP systems and Oracle.
• Strong Excel skills and data analysis ability.
• Experience with month-end close and audits.

Responsibilities

• Record-to-Report activities for the accounting function.
• Lead a team to ensure timely, accurate accounting deliverables.
• Prepare and review financial documents and analyses; resolve variances.
• Collaborate with Accounting for FP&A and reporting.
• Support accounting records and reports per Datacom standards.
• Perform month-end close and maintain ledgers and adjustments.
• Assist with annual audit preparations.
• Ensure tasks meet deadlines and address issues promptly.
• Investigate audit findings and resolve discrepancies.

Whatyou’llbring

• CA or CPA Qualification is a MUST
• Experience Managing and leading a high performing team
• Experience influencing stakeholders through challenging situations
• Previous involvement in the implementation of a new accounting system or management and evolution of an existing system
• Ability to manage complex issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends
• Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
• Ability to frequently interact with a variety of stakeholders and team members
• Strong system skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and enterprise resource planning software (ERP)
• Working knowledge of Oracle or a similar sized ERP system
• Advanced Excel skills

What You’ll Do

• Record‑2‑Report activities
• Managing a team ensuring accounting services deliverables are met in a timely and accurate manner
• Preparation and review of financial documents, reports and information including conducting any analyses’ and resolving any variances
• Collaborating with the Accounting team in financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities
• Supporting the preparation of accounting records and financial reports as per Datacom standards
• Performing month‑end close activities. Generating and maintaining general ledgers and any adjustments
• Assisting with annual audit preparations
• Ensuring all accounting tasks are completed within the set timeframe and any issues addressed as they arise
• Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies and issues of non‑compliance
