Job summary

Reed Elsevier Philippines is seeking a seasoned Global Engineering professional to support Enterprise and Azure AD, Domain Controllers, SAML, App Proxy, LDAP, DHCP, and Windows OS/Automation. You will provide third-level support and ensure reliability of Windows-based infrastructure across RELX systems.

The role covers participating in data-center operations, collaborating with development and support teams, and developing automation to streamline procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Analytics).
• 5+ years of Systems Engineering experience BS Engineering/Computer Science.
• Ability to quickly learn and apply enterprise AI tools and technologies to support technical workflows and business objectives.
• Experience of Windows Enterprise infrastructure.
• Window troubleshooting.
• Experience in virtual server environments.
• Experience in scripts automation.
• Experience in Azure and AWS Cloud implementation.

Responsibilities

• Provide third level support to ensure functionality and operations of all systems.
• Follow the Established Best Practice of Data Center technical services used throughout RELX and their subsidiaries in support of business products and infrastructure services for all RELX customers.
• Scope includes the infrastructure support of Windows, and similar IT platforms.
• Diagnose system performance problems using available standard performance tools and system indicators such as queue lengths, CPU utilization, etc.
• Install program products and system components.
• Demonstrate thorough understanding of all system components and of program products assigned to support.
• Work closely with development groups, support groups, and vendors to coordinate special operations, and communicate/escalate problems as appropriate to meet assigned deadlines.
• Assist in daily support of the systems/products assigned, through early detection and pursuit or changes in system responses or operation.
• Work closely with support groups to refine system monitoring and reporting, and to assist them in their analysis and problem recovery.
• Demonstrate thorough understanding of major system components in completing assigned tasks (i.e., storage systems and Windows infrastructure).
• Assist in daily support of the systems/products assigned, through early detection and pursuit or changes in system responses or operation.
• Demonstrate knowledge of system components in completing assigned tasks (i.e., storage systems, and Windows/Virtual infrastructure).
• Develop lists/scripts for execution of commonly used processes and automation of simple tasks.
• All other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For:
