Job summary

APW Tech in Metro Manila is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator to manage and improve enterprise platforms that support security operations. The role focuses on Genetec Security Center and related technologies, while also maintaining Windows Server, SQL Server, Active Directory, and virtualization infrastructure.

You will monitor health, perform upgrades, backups, and integrations, document architectures, and collaborate with vendors to enhance system reliability and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in systems administration, ICT operations, infrastructure, or enterprise applications.
• Experience with Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, Active Directory, Virtualization technologies, Enterprise networking, System integrations and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Genetec Security Center and related systems.
• Monitor system health, performance, storage, licensing, and availability.
• Perform preventive maintenance, upgrades, backups, and capacity planning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, infrastructure, database, and network issues.
• Support Windows Server, SQL Server, Active Directory, virtualization, and enterprise infrastructure.
• Assist with system integrations, API connectivity, identity management, and business applications.
• Support implementation, migration, and upgrade projects.
• Assist with system hardening, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and disaster recovery.
• Ensure systems comply with security and governance standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to improve system reliability and resilience.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, architecture diagrams, and implementation plans.
• Recommend improvements for performance, scalability, and lifecycle management.
• Conduct knowledge transfer and user training when required.

About the Role

The role will primarily focus on Genetec Security Center and related technologies, while also supporting infrastructure, cybersecurity, system integrations, upgrades, and operational improvements across various enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

System Administration & Support

• Administer and maintain Genetec Security Center and related systems.
• Monitor system health, performance, storage, licensing, and availability.
• Perform preventive maintenance, upgrades, backups, and capacity planning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, infrastructure, database, and network issues.

Infrastructure & Integration

• Support Windows Server, SQL Server, Active Directory, virtualization, and enterprise infrastructure.

• Support implementation, migration, and upgrade projects.

Security & Governance
