Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking a Senior System Administrator in Ortigas, Pasig for an onsite, dayshift role. You will manage enterprise IT infrastructure and cloud environments including Microsoft 365, Azure, and AWS, ensuring secure, reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Strong Microsoft 365 and Azure experience with cloud knowledge.
• Experience administering Windows Server environments.
• Proven enterprise networking experience (firewalls, routing, switching, wireless).
• Hybrid cloud experience with AWS or Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure for reliability and security.
• Administer Microsoft 365 and Azure environments; knowledge of AWS or other clouds.
• Maintain Windows Server environments, including configurations and patches.
• Support and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure (firewalls, routing).
• Lead cloud infrastructure in a hybrid environment and assist migrations.
• Manage user access, devices, onboarding and offboarding.
• Monitor systems, resolve issues, minimize disruptions.
• Lead upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvement projects.
• Support backup, DR, and business continuity procedures.
• Implement IT security controls including MFA and VPN.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior staff.
• Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to optimize IT solutions.

Your Role:

As a Senior System Administrator, you will:

• Manage and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure, ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient day-to-day operations.
• Administer Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, with working knowledge of AWS or other major cloud platforms.
• Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, including system configurations, patching, monitoring, and support.
• Support and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure, including firewalls, routing, switching, and wireless technologies.
• Administer cloud infrastructure in a hybrid cloud environment and support cloud migration and modernisation initiatives.
• Manage user access, devices, system configurations, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
• Monitor infrastructure, resolve technical issues, and minimise service disruptions.
• Lead system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvement projects.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures.
• Implement and maintain IT security controls, including access management, MFA, VPN, monitoring, and vulnerability response.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to junior IT staff.
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver and optimise IT solutions.

What You Need:

Non-negotiables

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, with demonstrated senior or lead responsibility in an enterprise environment.
• Strong Microsoft 365 and Azure experience, with working knowledge of AWS or another major cloud provider.
• Demonstrated experience with Windows Server administration.
• Proven experience with enterprise networking, including firewalls, routing, switching, and wireless configuration.
• Hands-on experience administering AWS, Google Cloud, or another major cloud provider in a hybrid cloud environment.
• Degree or equivalent experience in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with distributed teams.

Preferred skills/expertise

• Microsoft certifications, particularly Azure or Microsoft 365.
• Experience with SharePoint and OneDrive.
• Experience with IT security tools and industry best practices.
• Experience deploying and maintaining software in an enterprise environment.
• Experience supporting, training, and mentoring junior IT team members.
• Experience working in a professional services firm or with an Australian-based organisation.
• Strong security-focused mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
