Job summary

MicroSourcing in the Philippines is seeking a System Administrator to support servers, operating systems, and enterprise applications across onsite, hybrid, and remote setups.

You will monitor performance, patch systems, troubleshoot issues, and assist with backup and disaster recovery to ensure business continuity. Strong Windows and/or Linux, virtualization, and networking knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, or related field.
• 3+ years in system administration or infrastructure support.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server environments.
• Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals and security best practices.

Your Role:

As a System Administrator, you will:

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and enterprise applications.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity to ensure optimal infrastructure operations.
• Perform regular system updates, patching, and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system, server, and application-related issues in a timely manner.
• Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes to ensure business continuity.

What You Need:

Non-negotiables

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in system administration or infrastructure support roles
• Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server environments
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals and system security best practices

Preferred skills/expertise

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python)
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, Splunk)
• Experience with backup solutions and disaster recovery planning
• Exposure to ITIL processes and enterprise IT environments
