Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a senior structural engineering leader to oversee complex bridge and railway projects in the US, with emphasis on BIM-enabled delivery and digital transformation. The role requires extensive experience with North American standards and strong client engagement.

You will guide multidisciplinary teams, ensure design quality, and drive continuous improvement and professional development in a global, sustainable practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer status or pursuing accreditation (PE, P.Eng. or equivalent).
• 15+ years of bridge design consulting experience with highway/railway/infrastructure focus.
• Knowledge of AASHTO/ACI, LRFD, DMRB, US DOT standards; UK/Eurocode familiarity a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on complex projects in the US.
• Sign-off on rail and highway bridge and utility structure designs to US codes.
• Oversee full project lifecycle from concept to close-out.
• Promote BIM/Digital workflows and sustainable design practices.
• Mentor junior engineers towards licensure/accreditation.
