Job summary

Arcadis is seeking aSenior Civil Engineer to join the Places team in the Philippines. You will apply structural design techniques, perform analyses, and model complex structures for data centers and other facilities.

You will collaborate with global teams, manage schedules and budgets, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring quality and compliance with international codes. Required is a Civil Engineering degree, professional license, 8–10 years’ post-graduate design experience, and fluency in

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering is required.
• Licensed Civil Engineer with active registration.
• 8 to 10 years minimum post-graduate experience in design consultancy.
• Experience designing data centers is preferred.
• Expert in one or more design/analysis software such as ETABS, SAFE, PROKON, TEDDS, STAAD, RISA, RAM Connection.
• Familiar with US design codes (ACI, ASCE, AISC) and related theory.
• Excellent problem solving and mathematical skills in structural engineering.
• Strong interpersonal and English communication skills.
• Ability to lead and influence teams.
• Proficient in structural design fundamentals and RC/steel detailing.
• CPD and ongoing technical knowledge development.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering techniques in line with international and local structural design codes.
• Deliver design tasks, checks, and detailing for 8-10 years of experience.
• Collaborate with Arcadis GECs, other disciplines, regions, and clients.
• Perform structural analysis and design to meet project requirements and budgets.
• Use advanced software and adhere to design code requirements.
• Model medium to large structures from scratch with accuracy.
• Develop time estimates, schedules and resource plans.
• Lead and support project teams and mentor juniors.
• Ensure quality checks and reviews of drawings and calculations.
• Document technical reports and maintain design records.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering

Licensed Registered Civil Engineer

Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Leadership and communication skills
