Job summary

Satispay is seeking a Senior Strategic Project Manager to drive cross-functional, regulatory-aligned initiatives across Luxembourg and Milan hubs. You will collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Risk to translate corporate obligations into seamless operational roadmaps.

Based in Luxembourg with frequent collaboration travel to Milan, you will lead complex, end-to-end programs, manage executive stakeholders, and ensure delivery while upholding a user-first approach.

Qualifications

• Experience - Minimum 6-7 years in a regulated environment (Fintech, EMI/Banking, or Financial Services).
• Regulatory expertise in compliance, legal, and regulatory matters.
• Master Project Operator with end-to-end multi-stakeholder initiatives using structured PM frameworks.
• Familiarity with European fintech regulation concepts (PSD2/PSD3, AML/CFT, GDPR).

Responsibilities

• Solve complex business challenges by delivering data-backed, user-first solutions.
• Manage stakeholder relationships with C-level executives and advise on strategic areas.
• Influence major decisions with in-depth analysis and cross-functional insights.

What you'll be doing

As our Senior Strategic Project Manager within the Office of the CEO, you will be a primary execution driver behind our most critical cross-functional initiatives. You will serve as the strategic bridge connecting executive leadership with operational, regulatory, product, and business teams across our Luxembourg and Milan hubs. While you will work side-by-side with internal Legal, Compliance, and Risk experts who own the regulatory subject matter, your core strength is senior strategic leadership and project execution: acting as a key leader within the organization to orchestrate complex initiatives across different verticals, driving high-impact project timelines, and turning corporate obligations into seamless operational workflows.

• Solve complex business challenges - Tackling intricate business problems by developing innovative, data-backed solutions with a consistent user-first approach.
• Stakeholder management and strategic partnership - Managing relationships with C-level stakeholders and acting as a thought partner for leadership on specific strategic areas.
• Strategic influence - Influencing major decisions through in-depth analysis and proven insights, integrating diverse perspectives into coherent strategies.
• Champion methodology and best practices - Developing and introducing new methodologies, best practices, or frameworks within the team or company, ensuring a consistent user-first approach.
• Champion Regulatory Requirements in Roadmap Design - Act as the project manager champion for what regulatory and supervisory requirements apply to a given initiative, ensuring they are proactively factored into project roadmaps at the design stage - partnering closely with Legal, Compliance, and Risk.
• Govern & Monitor Multi-Hub Projects - Establish project governance, track milestones across offices, proactively remove cross-departmental bottlenecks, mitigate delivery risks, and provide crisp, data-driven reporting to executive leadership.
• Anchor Luxembourg Operational Synergies - Serve as an authoritative on-the-ground project leader in Luxembourg, ensuring that financial institution governance requirements seamlessly harmonize with Satispay's group-wide strategy and product velocity.

Who we're looking for

This role needs someone who is a problem-solver that loves teamwork, gets things done, and is ready for real ownership across regulated financial environments.

• Experience - Minimum 6-7 years of hands-on experience within a regulated environment -ideally within high-growth Fintech, Scale-ups, EMI/Banking institutions, or Financial Services.
• Regulatory Expertise - Hands-on knowledge and deep familiarity with compliance, legal, and regulatory matters.
• Master Project Operator - Proven track record of managing complex, end-to-end multi-stakeholder initiatives using structured project management frameworks.
• Fintech & EMI Licensing Awareness - Good high-level familiarity with the fintech landscape, EMI/payment institution dynamics, and European financial regulation concepts (PSD2/PSD3, AML/CFT, GDPR) - enough to translate requirements into project delivery without needing to be the legal specialist yourself.
• Cross-Border Leadership - Demonstrated ability to build consensus, establish momentum, and align priorities across distributed international offices and matrixed teams.
• Executive Presence - Exceptional communication skills with the ability to synthesize technical, operational, and regulatory concepts into clear, executive-level narratives and actionable plans.
• Mobility - Based in Luxembourg with a willingness for frequent, hands-on collaboration travel to our Milan headquarters.
• Languages - Fluent in English (written and spoken). Italian is a strong asset.
