Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a Senior Accountant in Metro Manila to manage bank reconciliations, month-end close, and balance sheet analyses. You will prepare and post journal entries and ensure accuracy across financial records within a busy accounting team.

The ideal candidate has 4.5+ years in general ledger, GAAP knowledge, and experience with Oracle and SAP. You will support audits, drive process improvements, and collaborate with Site Partners to meet reporting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or related fields.
• At least 4.5 years in general accounting focusing on GL, reconciliations, fixed assets and audit support.
• Strong GAAP and internal control understanding.
• Proficiency with Oracle and SAP ERP software.

Responsibilities

• Perform bank reconciliation and month-end close activities.
• Validate data accuracy, verify discrepancies, and resolve reconciling transactions.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and analyze balances for accuracy.
• Prepare and post journal entries; troubleshoot and resolve disputes on entries.
• Provide supporting documents for audit requirements.
• Perform Fixed Assets Accounting; assist in ad-hoc reports and other tasks.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Schedule training sessions with Site Partners.

• Perform Bank Reconciliation and month‑end financial activities
• Validate accuracy of data, verify discrepancies, and resolve reconciling transactions
• Perform Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation, analyze the account details to validate correctness of the balance, and reconcile with other system modules
• Check for completeness and validate compliance of reports
• Perform sense check on relevance of reports and month‑end close activities based on trends
• Prepare and post Journal entries; troubleshoot and resolve disputes encountered on entries
• Prepare and provide supporting documents for audit requirements
• Perform Fixed Assets Accounting; assist in preparing ad‑hoc reports and other tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or any Accounting‑related courses
• 4.5 years of work experience in general accounting, majority of which should be in General Ledger performing bank reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, fixed assets, and audit support
• Solid understanding of internal control and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications, including Oracle and SAP
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
