Job summary

Onfido (an Entrust company) is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to join our APAC team. This high‑impact, hands‑on role bridges complex technical challenges and seamless user experiences, serving as the technical backbone of the sales process for FinTechs, banks, and ecommerce players across the region.

You will own integrations for the Entrust Identity platform, guide API and SDK designs, define PoC success criteria, share market insights with product teams, and build demos for conferences

Qualifications

• Experience in pre-sales or solutions engineering handling customer‑facing roles.
• Ability to present technical content to C‑suite audiences.
• Strong English and Filipino communication skills.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

Digital identity is the new frontier of security. At Onfido (an Entrust company), we are looking for a customer facing Senior Solutions Engineer to join our APAC team. This is a high-impact, hands‑on role where you will bridge the gap between complex technical challenges and seamless user experiences.

You’ll be the technical backbone of our sales process, partnering with FinTechs, financial institutions, and eCommerce giants to design secure, frictionless identity journeys that combat fraud and meet strict regulatory standards across the region.

What You’ll Do

As a subject matter expert for the Entrust Identity platform, you will:

• Solve Complex Challenges: Partner with Sales to diagnose customer needs across KYC, AML, account opening, and account takeover prevention.
• Design & Integrate: Guide customers through the technical design of user journeys, helping them integrate our APIs and SDKs into their mobile and web applications.
• Lead Technical Trials: Define success criteria for Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and lead technical workstreams to prove our value through data‑driven results.
• Be the Voice of the Market: Act as a conduit between the APAC market and our global Product teams, sharing insights to shape the future of our roadmap.
• Advocate & Educate: Build custom demos, lead industry presentations, and represent Entrust at major conferences and webinars.

Who You Are

You are a technical problem‑solver who enjoys the "aha!" moment when a customer understands a solution. You can talk shop with developers and strategy with C‑level executives.

Technical Requirements

• Integration Expert: Deep understanding of RESTful APIs and modern SaaS integration patterns.
• Deep understanding of at least one coding language e.g. Python, JS, etc
• Industry Veteran: Experience in Pre‑sales, Solutions Engineering, or Technical Product Management within a cloud/SaaS environment.
• Experience in a Customer Facing role
• Experience Presenting Technical content at CSuite level
• Linguistic Skills: Fluency in English and Filipino is essential to support our regional growth.
• Knowledge of eKYC fraud, or compliance prevention.
• Experience in FinTech, CyberSecurity, or RegTech.
• Familiarity with regulatory landscapes like GDPR, eIDAS 2.0, and AML/KYC directives.

• Sales: Collaboration on Proposal Content, RFP's and client presentation
• Product & Engineering: To stay ahead of feature releases and provide real-world feedback.
• Customer Success: To ensure a smooth transition from "sold" to "successful."
• The Global Entrust Community: Contributing to best practices and fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Location & Travel

This role is based in the Philippines and serves the broader APAC region. You should be comfortable with occasional regional travel for workshops, customer meetings, and industry events.
