Job summary

FMC Research Solutions Inc. is seeking a Senior Tech Lead (Solutions Architect) to lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and high-performance software solutions in a collaborative Agile environment.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of software development experience, 5 years in a solutions architect/lead role, and strong Python/React REST API skills. You will mentor teams, drive architectural choices, and advance AI-enabled solutions across distributed systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software development.
• 5 years as Solution Architect or Technical lead role.
• Strong proficiency in Python, React, and RESTful API development.
• Experience designing scalable software architecture and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases, Docker, CI/CD, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, software design patterns, and engineering best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable web applications and RESTful APIs.
• Design scalable, secure, and maintainable software architecture and system solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while enforcing development standards.
• Lead code reviews, technical design discussions, and Agile ceremonies.
• Troubleshoot and optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Lead an AI-centric approach to solution design and development, integrating AI/ML capabilities and emerging technologies to enhance automation, efficiency, scalability, and overall system performance.
• Mentor developers and provide technical leadership.
• Build and deploy containerized applications using Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
