Job summary

Acquire Intelligence is seeking a Senior Software Tester to deliver high-quality testing across software products in an Agile setting. You will collaborate with developers, stakeholders, and end-users to ensure system functionality, usability, and performance.

You will lead test planning, write test scripts, manage defects in JIRA, and contribute to UAT and automation initiatives while maintaining thorough documentation and clear communication.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years’ experience in software testing on complex projects.
• Expertise in manual testing and API testing.
• Familiarity with BDD and automated testing tools.
• Proficient with JIRA and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience leading UAT processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of testing solutions in a collaborative team environment.
• Develop and maintain test plans, test scripts, test data, and reports.
• Manage software issues using JIRA and clearly communicate defects.
• Review user stories and provide accurate test estimates.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to project planning.
• Facilitate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Conduct manual and API testing to identify potential issues.
• Create and maintain automated test cases to improve efficiency.
• Implement BDD (Behaviour Driven Development) practices.
• Design and execute test scenarios for comprehensive coverage.
• Analyse test results and report findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve bugs.
• Stay updated with testing tools and methodologies.
• Mentor junior testers and share best practices.
• Support the Product Manager with additional assigned tasks.
