Job Expectations:

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our client's team. In this role, you will support and enhance critical software systems, debug applications, and resolve issues. You will work in a cross-functional, distributed team to improve system stability, performance, and user experience.

• Work primarily in Python to support critical software systems for our custom software and hardware platforms.
• Enhance and debug Python applications
• Diagnose and solve issues with a combination of Python, PostgreSQL, and AWS
• Help maintain the related software and work across engineering teams to resolve mission-critical issues and improve user experience
• Use Python, PostgreSQL, and other systems and processes to enhance productivity, preserve stability, ensure consistent APIs, and enhance system speed.
• Use AWS to monitor and diagnose issues, and build alerts to notify stakeholders in real-time of issues occurring.
• Work in an Ubuntu/Linux desktop environment
• Work in a cross-functional distributed team environment

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3+ years of progressive software engineering experience with a proven track record of successful productivity
• 3+ years of experience working with Python and related frameworks required
• 3+ years of experience working with React
• 3+ years of SQL experience with PostgreSQL experience
• 2+ years of AWS Cloud or similar cloud experience required
• Exposure to warehouse automation is a plus
• Ability to document requirements and specifications
• Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
