GECO Asia Pte. Ltd seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions that support critical business objectives. You will work with stakeholders to understand requirements, build scalable applications, and contribute to technical design and architecture decisions.

Location: Mandaluyong City, Philippines. Work Arrangement: Full Onsite, with possible hybrid based on business needs and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET application development.
• Experience with async/await, CancellationToken and asynchronous programming.
• Familiarity with HttpClient and API integrations using best practices.
• Solid knowledge of Dependency Injection in .NET applications.
• Understanding of OOP principles and common design patterns.
• Experience in code reviews and writing unit tests.
• Experience designing or contributing to microservices-based applications.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions that support critical business objectives. You'll work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, build scalable applications, enhance existing systems, and contribute to technical design and architecture decisions.

Location: Mandaluyong City, Philippines
Work Arrangement: Full Onsite (Hybrid work arrangement may be available based on business needs and performance)
Reports To: Development Supervisor / Development Manager

• Design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions that meet business and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Strong candidates from other technical disciplines will also be considered.
• At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Technical Skills

C# & .NET Development

• Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET application development.
• Solid understanding of async/await, CancellationToken, and asynchronous programming principles.
• Experience using HttpClient and API integrations following industry best practices.
• Strong working knowledge of Dependency Injection (DI) in .NET applications.

.NET Fundamentals

• Understanding of CLR (Common Language Runtime) and garbage collection concepts.
• Experience implementing IDisposable and resource management best practices.
• Knowledge of boxing and unboxing concepts within .NET.

Software Engineering Best Practices

• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
• Experience applying common Design Patterns in production environments.
• Experience conducting and participating in code reviews.
• Experience writing and maintaining unit tests.
• Ability to identify and address technical debt while maintaining code quality.
• Strong commitment to clean, maintainable code and the DRY (Don't Repeat Yourself) principle.

Architecture & Design

• Experience designing or contributing to microservices-based applications.
• Understanding of asynchronous task processing and compensation mechanisms.
• Ability to design scalable, maintainable, and resilient software solutions.

Frameworks & DevOps

• Experience with ASP.NET Web API and/or MVC Frameworks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and deployment automation.
• Experience creating or maintaining Jenkins Pipeline scripts is a plus.
