Job summary

Verkada is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to architect and develop projects that enhance the reliability and cost efficiency of its infrastructure. You will collaborate across teams, mentor fellow engineers, and establish best practices.

Qualifications include a degree in Computer Science, experience in Python or Go, and familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS. This role is based onsite in San Mateo.

Qualifications

• Must have a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, or similar technical field.
• Experience in Python and/or Go.
• Experience with one of the major cloud platforms (preferably AWS).
• Experience with Terraform and Kubernetes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and lead critical efforts related to scalability, reliability and efficiency.
• Influence the features and direction of our platform with your own ideas.
• Provide technical support for engineers on team.
• Align with product and org objectives, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Skills

Experience with Python and/or Go

Strong written and verbal communications

Enthusiasm for learning new infrastructure products

Experience with Terraform

Experience with Kubernetes

Experience with a service mesh such as Istio

Education
