Job summary

Firefly Electric and Lighting Corporation (FELCO) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Web and Mobility to design, build, and maintain web and mobile applications. The role leads architecture, code quality, and cross-functional collaboration in an onsite Manila setting.

You will mentor developers, drive performance and security improvements, and stay abreast of emerging technologies while delivering high-quality solutions on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• At least five years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in web and mobile app development (front-end and back-end).
• Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, Java, Python, and Swift; and frameworks such as React, Angular, Node.js, Vue.js.
• Mobile app development for iOS and Android.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with API design and RESTful principles.
• Understanding of DevOps practices.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication for cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to stay current with emerging web and mobile technologies and industry best practices.
• Preferably with people management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of large-scale web and mobile systems, emphasizing scalability, performance, and security.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain top-quality web and mobile applications, leveraging advanced coding practices and design patterns.
• Conduct thorough code reviews, mentor team members, and promote code quality and maintainability best practices.
• Focus on optimizing application performance and implementing advanced security measures, including security audits.
• Provide technical leadership, collaborate with cross-functional teams, document architectures, and manage development projects to ensure timely delivery.
