Job summary

Firefly Electric and Lighting Corporation (FELCO) seeks a Mid-Level Software Engineer (IT Software Engineer 2 - Mobile) to develop and enhance mobile applications supporting operations and customer-facing processes. You will own features, work across the full SDLC, and ensure performance, security, and usability.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and guide junior engineers as needed. The role requires practical experience with mobile frameworks, APIs, and current development standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 1–3 years of mobile development experience in a professional team.
• Proficiency in one or more mobile platforms/frameworks (Swift/Kotlin/Java, Flutter, React Native).
• Knowledge of mobile lifecycle, native device APIs (camera, location, notifications), and state management.
• Certifications in mobile frameworks or cloud platforms are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Feature Development: design and own moderately complex mobile features interfacing with backend APIs and platform native functionalities.
• Bug Fixing & Enhancements: diagnose and resolve complex issues; lead enhancements for performance or stability.
• Testing & Documentation: create and execute unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; contribute to design docs.
