Job summary

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all on-site technical activities, ensuring work is performed strictly according to engineering drawings, specifications, and established quality control plans.
• Monitor and approve Work in Progress (WIP), conducting regular inspections to certify the quality and quantity of accomplished work before pouring, backfilling, or subsequent processes begin.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues that arise on-site and propose effective, timely solutions to maintain project flow.
• Ensure all construction materials, methods, and equipment used comply with project standards and local regulatory requirements.
• Supervise and guide the work of Site Engineers, Junior Engineers, and technical staff, providing clear direction, mentorship, and performance feedback.
• Plan the distribution of daily tasks and resources among the site engineering team to optimize efficiency and adherence to the project schedule.
• Champion a site safety culture, ensuring all engineers and workers follow established safety procedures and protocols.
• Coordinate day-to-day site activities with subcontractors, suppliers, and specialist vendors to ensure seamless workflow and timely delivery of materials and services.
• Interface with the QA team and external inspectors/consultants, addressing their concerns and ensuring all necessary documentation is readily available.
• Prepare detailed progress reports and technical updates (daily, weekly, and monthly) for the Project Manager or Construction Manager, highlighting achievements, impending issues, and potential delays.
• Review and approve material requests and quantity take-offs prepared by the Site Engineers.
