Job summary

Colorboost is seeking a Senior Scientist – Contact Lens Materials & Chemistry to lead additive chemistry and formulation strategy for advanced silicone-hydrogel lenses. This remote role focuses on defining experiments, guiding partner labs, and interpreting results to meet oxygen permeability, wettability, and comfort targets.

The successful candidate will have deep expertise in dye/colorant chemistry or polymer materials science, plus strong cross-functional collaboration skills for a remote,

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in chemistry or related field with emphasis on dyes or polymer materials.
• 3+ years of professional R&D after highest degree in a relevant field; strong independent judgment.
• Experience coordinating lab work or with partner labs.
• Strong data-driven formulation and DOE skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME on formulation, inform priorities and roadmap from concept toward manufacturable lens.
