Job summary

ING Wholesale Banking is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to design, develop, and enhance SAP Banking Services platforms. You will drive complex SAP implementations, collaborate with business and technical teams, and contribute to scalable ABAP solutions across modules like FS-AM, FS-MCM, FS-PE, and cash pooling.

The role requires hands-on ABAP expertise, experience with upgrades (SPAU/SPDD/SPAU_ENH), and strong documentation, testing, and mentoring skills within a banking technology

Qualifications

• 8+ years of SAP ABAP development experience.
• Proven experience across multiple end-to-end SAP implementation projects.
• Strong expertise in Object-Oriented ABAP, Custom Development, Performance Tuning, BADIs and BAPIs, Interfaces and Integrations, Workflows and Enhancements.
• Experience supporting SAP Banking Services solutions.
• Hands-on experience with system upgrade activities including: SPAU, SPDD, SPAU_ENH.
• Experience creating functional and technical specifications.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver technical solutions for SAP Banking Services modules, including: SAP FS-AM, SAP FS-MCM, SAP FS-PE, SAP Effective Cash Pooling.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and technical teams to analyze requirements and assess solution impacts.
• Develop and enhance SAP ABAP objects including: Reports, Interfaces, RFCs, BAPIs, Web Services and APIs, Workflows, BADIs and Enhancements.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, functional specifications, and unit test artifacts.
• Perform unit testing and support SIT and UAT activities.
• Manage system deployments and transport releases across SAP environments.
• Investigate incidents, troubleshoot issues, implement enhancements, and provide ongoing application support.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor development team members to ensure high-quality delivery.
