Job summary

ING is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to design, develop, and enhance SAP Banking Services platforms. You will work on large-scale SAP implementations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable ABAP solutions.

The role requires 8+ years of SAP ABAP development, strong OOABAP, and hands-on experience with upgrades (SPAU/SPDD). You will mentor peers and ensure high-quality delivery in a dynamic banking environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of SAP ABAP development experience.
• Experience across multiple end-to-end SAP implementation projects.
• Strong expertise in:Object-Oriented ABAP, custom development, and performance tuning.
• Experience supporting SAP Banking Services solutions.
• Experience with SPAU, SPDD, and SPAU_ENH during upgrades.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver SAP Banking Services modules (FS-AM, FS-MCM, FS-PE, ECP).
• Develop ABAP objects: reports, interfaces, RFCs, BAPIs, web services, workflows, BADIs.
• Prepare technical docs and unit test artifacts.
• Perform unit testing and support SIT and UAT activities.
• Manage transports across SAP environments.
• Mentor developers and participate in code reviews.

What You'll Do

As An SAP ABAP Developer, You Will

• Design and deliver technical solutions for SAP Banking Services modules, including:
• SAP FS-AM (Account Management)
• SAP FS-MCM (Master Contract Management)
• SAP FS-PE (Payment Engine/Payment Centralization)
• SAP Effective Cash Pooling
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and technical teams to analyze requirements and assess solution impacts.
• Develop and enhance SAP ABAP objects including:
• Reports
• Interfaces
• RFCs
• BAPIs
• Web Services and APIs
• Workflows
• BADIs and Enhancements
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, functional specifications, and unit test artifacts.
• Perform unit testing and support SIT and UAT activities.
• Manage system deployments and transport releases across SAP environments.
• Investigate incidents, troubleshoot issues, implement enhancements, and provide ongoing application support.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor development team members to ensure high-quality delivery.

Preferred Experience

• Banking or financial services industry experience.
• Exposure to blueprint, build, deployment, post-go-live support, and production support phases.
