Job Description & Summary
At PwC, our people in business application consulting specialise in consulting services for a variety of business applications, helping clients optimise operational efficiency. These individuals analyse client needs, implement software solutions, and provide training and support for seamless integration and utilisation of business applications, enabling clients to achieve their strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- Accept assignment of user stories for development in the current sprint.
- Work closely with Functional Lead, Developer Lead/Manager and Technical Architect to ensure a clear understanding of the requirements and approach for work items under development.
- Design, code and implement Salesforce applications.
- Develop application components including basic Visualforce pages/Lightning pages and Lightning Web Components.
- Assist with each release cycle to implement and deploy new or updated applications and code.
- Test the stability and functionality of the application.
- Troubleshoot and fix bugs.
- Maintain the security and integrity of the application software.
- Develop Apex classes, triggers, Lightning Components and Visualforce to extend Salesforce and support business requirements.
- Contribute to technical documentation.
- Provide recommendations and/or alternatives to align solution design with Salesforce and industry best practices, as needed.
- Take responsibility for the execution of development and build activities.
- Raise critical design changes or challenges to the engaged Technical Architect.
- Attend Agile/Scrum stand‑ups, sprint planning sessions, and retrospectives to plan, design, code, and review development tasks.
- Respond effectively to diverse perspectives, needs and feelings of others.
- Use a broad range of tools, methodologies and techniques to generate new ideas and solve problems.
- Use critical thinking to break down complex concepts.
- Understand the broader objectives of your project or role and how your work fits into the overall strategy.
- Develop a deeper understanding of the business context and how it is changing.
- Use reflection to develop self‑awareness, enhance strengths and address development areas.
- Interpret data to inform insights and recommendations.
- Uphold and reinforce professional and technical standards (e.g. refer to specific PwC tax and audit guidance), the Firm's code of conduct, and independence requirements.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor Degree (required).
