Job summary

Finastra in Manila seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications. You will participate in design meetings, implement robust code, and collaborate with stakeholders to support timely releases.

The role requires 5+ years of RPG/LE experience, a bachelor’s degree, and strong Java web development skills, with familiarity in RESTful APIs, HTML, and CSS. Financial services exposure and SDLC knowledge are a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years RPG/LE software development experience including design and development.
• Bachelor’s degree graduate.
• Experience with Java web development is a must.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, HTML, CSS preferred.
• Financial industry experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of SDLC and development methodologies.
• Ability to solve a range of technical problems independently.
• Strong technical, analytical and development skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication; team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Participates in software design meetings and analyzes user needs to determine technical requirements.
• Designs and develops high-quality code.
• Tests, debugs, analyzes and fixes application problems/issues.
• Works closely with stakeholders to fix issues in a timely fashion.
• Follows the software development life cycle process.
• Interacts with internal stakeholders to support releases and resolve problems.
• Embed AI into project delivery to drive productivity and continuous improvement.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.
