BTSMC Managing Solutions, Inc. is urgently seeking a STEAM TURBINE & ROTATING PLANT ENGINEER to be assigned in Pagbilao, Quezon Province, with occasional travel to Toledo, Cebu.

The role requires extensive expertise in steam turbines, rotating equipment, outages, and maintenance management. You will lead technical activities, mentor engineers, and ensure compliance with OEM standards while coordinating outages and reliability improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Master's degree in Engineering is an advantage.
• 10+ years for steam turbine and rotating plant specialization.
• Leadership in turbine and rotating plant improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise on HP/LP turbines and related systems.

Job description

BTSMC Managing Solutions, Inc. is urgently looking for a STEAM TURBINE & ROTATING PLANT ENGINEER to be assigned in Pagbilao, Quezon Province (with travel to Toledo, Cebu time to time).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or equivalent experience

• Master's degree in Engineering, an advantage Professional Institution

• Membership desirable At least 10 years of Steam Turbine, Auxiliaries and rotating plant specialism

• Leadership: Steam Turbine, Auxiliary Plant and Rotating Plant improvement

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Steam Turbine and Rotating Engineering - Provide technical expertise on:

  • HP, IP and LP turbines, Turbine rotors and casings, Blading and steam path components, Bearings and seals, Couplings and turning gear systems, Main stop and control valves, Intercept and reheat stop valves, Gland sealing systems, Turbine lubrication and hydraulic systems, Review turbine inspections and outage findings. Assess rotor integrity, creep life, fatigue life and remaining useful life. Evaluate steam path degradation and efficiency losses. Develop repair, refurbishment and replacement strategies. Review balancing, alignment and vibration assessment activities. Provide technical recommendations on turbine upgrades and modernization projects.

• Outage and Maintenance Management:

  • Provide technical leadership during planned outages. Develop inspection scopes and acceptance criteria. Review contractor and OEM work packs. Witness critical inspections and measurements. Verify quality of repairs and refurbishment activities. Review outage reports and recommend improvement opportunities. Ensure compliance with engineering standards and OEM requirements.

• Rotating Plant Engineering- Provide specialist support for:

  • Boiler Feed Pump Turbines (BFPT), Boiler Feed Pumps (BFP), HP and LP heaters, Condensate Extraction Pumps, Cooling Water Pumps, Circulating Water Pumps, Vacuum Pumps, Fans and Blowers, Compressors, Auxiliary Turbines, Gearboxes and Couplings

• Reliability assessment, Condition monitoring review, Vibration diagnostics, Rotor dynamics evaluation, Failure investigations, Maintenance strategy development, Spare parts optimization.

• Mentor engineers, graduates and technical specialists. Develop technical competency frameworks for rotating plant personnel.

• Facilitate knowledge transfer from OEMs and external specialists. Lead communities of practice for rotating equipment engineering.

Other Details:

• Work Schedule: Monday - Saturday, 8hrs./day

• Work Location: Pagbilao, Quezon Province (with travel to Toledo, Cebu time to time).
