Job summary

Therma Luzon, Inc. in Pagbilao, Quezon Province, is seeking a Steam Turbine and Rotating Sr.

Specialist to provide day-to-day technical advice, engineering support, and asset health monitoring for steam turbines and auxiliary plant systems. The role collaborates with site O&M teams, Asset Managers, Operational Risk Managers, and external OEMs to deliver results, drive reliability, and advance professional growth in a purpose-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• At least 5 years of experience in Turbine & Auxiliary systems (ideally with specialization in GE/Fuji systems).
• Mechanical Engineer License and evidence of professional competence.

Responsibilities

• Providing decisive technical advice and support to site O&M teams to manage turbine and auxiliary system reliability, availability, and efficiency.
• Developing lifecycle management plans, RCM-based maintenance strategies, FMECA, and outage scopes to ensure long-term plant integrity.
• Leading or supporting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and implementing Corrective Action Requests (CAR).
• Managing Engineering Management of Change (EMOC) processes and executing assigned engineering projects.

As Turbine and Rotating Plant Sr. Specialist , you will provide day-to-day technical advice, engineering support, and asset health monitoring for steam turbines and auxiliary plant systems and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world. You will work closely with site O&M teams, Asset Managers, Operational Risk Managers, and external OEM service providers to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be

• Providing decisive technical advice and support to site O&M teams to manage turbine and auxiliary system reliability, availability, and efficiency .

• Demonstrates technical expertise in identifying operational risks and optimizing thermal power plant performance .
• Has strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities to conduct failure mechanism analysis and execute RCA/CAR .
• Possesses strong oral and written communication skills to effectively share knowledge and coach site staff .
• Demonstrates multi-cultural interpersonal skills and collaborates seamlessly across internal teams and external contractors/OEMs .

What You Will Need

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
• At least 5 years of experience in Turbine & Auxiliary systems (ideally with specialization in GE/Fuji systems)
• Mechanical Engineer License and evidence of professional competence

Technical / Functional Skills

• Proficiency in steam turbine construction, rebuild techniques, CMMS, and Microsoft Office / technical software
• Strong skills in interpreting technical drawings/manuals, failure analysis, power plant technology, and ISO standards (9001, 14001, OHSAS 18001, 27001)
