Job summary

JOII PHILIPPINES, INC. is seeking an experienced Architectural Drafter to translate sales variations into detailed drawings for residential projects.

You will develop tender and contract plans, prepare full construction documentation, and ensure compliance with Australian standards (NCC, BCA) while coordinating with sales, estimating, certifiers and site teams. The role requires a Bachelor's in Architecture, 2–5 years drafting experience with project home builders, proficiency in Revit

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of drafting experience within project home builders.
• 2 years of experience developing working drawings for residential construction company or volume home builder.
• 2–3 years of experience with Revit Architecture.
• At least 2 years' experience with AutoCAD or equivalent CAD program.
• Understanding of Council/CDC process, Authority Guidelines 88B, 10.7, DCP.
• Knowledge of residential building process and current building regulations (Australian Standard, BCA, NCC, QDC, Council regulations).
• Good oral and written communication skills fluently in the English Language.
• Can deliver high-quality work under minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

• Interpret sales paperwork and sales variations, translating them into accurate and comprehensive drawings.
• Produce tender plans, including site, floor, and external elevations.
• Generate full sets of contract plans and draw variations.
• Create detailed construction plans that align with contract and post contract variation documentation.
• Provide clear and comprehensive documentation for the Estimating department.
• Assess site conditions and ensure compliance with relevant authorities, regulations, and Client's variation policy.
• Coordinate reports on factors such as flood, bush, BASIX, hydraulics, and landscaping.
• Verify structural designs from external agencies and ensure adherence to current Australian standards, particularly NCC compliance.
• Facilitate communication with the sales team and respond to requests for information (RFIs) from certifiers and construction team.
• Provide design advice and technical support to stakeholders including council, Sales Consultants, Estimators, and Site Managers.
