Qualifications

• Master’s in Organic Chemistry and 4–6 years in R&D within fine chemicals.
• Experience with multi-step organic synthesis and route scouting.
• Proficient in data management and maintaining safety standards in the lab.

Responsibilities

• Research and optimize multi-step organic syntheses with aromatics, aliphatics, and heterocycles.
• Scale-up reactions from gram to pilot/production via careful planning and solvent selection.
• Operate and interpret analytical techniques (HPLC, GC, GC‑MS) and manage data records.
• Prepare documentation, SOPs, and ensure compliance with safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support process development and cost reduction.

Job Summary The Senior Research associate in research & development will be responsible for carrying out lab experimentation following safety guidelines for process improvement, cost reduction, plant support & other continuous improvement activities.

Job Responsibilities

• Research and Optimization:
• Strong understanding of multi-step organic synthesis with hands‑on exposure to aromatic, aliphatic, and heterocyclic chemistry
• Basic capability in literature search and route scouting to support process development activities.
• Experience in reaction execution at gram scale with understanding of scale‑up considerations.
• Knowledge of analytical techniques (HPLC, GC, GC‑MS) along with data interpretation.
• Competency in setting up reactions in both laboratory and autoclave conditions, with understanding of catalyst and solvent selection.
• Practical experience in crystallization and trituration techniques. Purification of compounds using distillation techniques, including simple, fractional and vacuum distillation, with understanding of boiling point control and separation efficiency.
• Cost Reduction and Process Improvement of Existing Products:
• Identify and implement cost‑sh
• Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot process issues to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Continuous improvement on the key projects to keep them cost competitive
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to streamline operations and improve product quality.
• Data Entry and Document Preparation:
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry for all R&D activities in the Electronic Lab Notebook.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including experimental protocols, reports, and regulatory submissions.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data management and documentation.
