Job summary

Jubilant Ingrevia Limited is seeking a Senior Manager - Contracts at our Noida corporate office. You will lead drafting, review and negotiation of commercial agreements, manage the contract lifecycle, and provide strategic advice to stakeholders across procurement, finance, HR and operations. The role emphasizes risk management, governance, and team leadership.

The ideal candidate holds LL.B. (LL.M. preferred) with 10-15 years in legal/commercial contracting, and will drive best practices,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B.) required.
  • Master's Degree in Law (LL.M.) preferred.
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, negotiate and finalize a wide range of agreements including MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, technology and SaaS contracts, and HR contracts.
  • Manage end-to-end contract lifecycle from initiation to renewal and termination.
  • Advise stakeholders on risk allocation, indemnities, warranties, and dispute resolution.
  • Lead contracts professionals, establish SLAs and performance metrics, and drive process improvements.

Job Summary

The Senior Manager - Contracts will lead the organization's contract management function, ensuring that all commercial, procurement, technology, vendor, customer, and business agreements are drafted, reviewed, negotiated, and executed in a manner that protects the company's legal and commercial interests. The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, procurement, finance, HR, compliance, and external counsel to support strategic business objectives while mitigating legal and contractual risks.

Key Responsibilities
Contract Drafting, Review & Negotiation
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize a wide range of agreements, including:
    • Customer agreements
    • Vendor and supplier contracts
    • Master Service Agreements (MSAs)
    • Statements of Work (SOWs)
    • Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
    • Technology and SaaS agreements
    • Consulting and professional services agreements
    • Licensing and partnership agreements
    • Employment-related and HR contracts
  • Provide commercially pragmatic legal advice during contract negotiations.
  • Ensure contracts align with company policies, risk appetite, and applicable laws.
Contract Lifecycle Management
  • Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle from request initiation through execution, renewal, amendment, and termination.
  • Develop and maintain standardized contract templates, clauses, and playbooks.
  • Establish and improve contract approval workflows and governance processes.
  • Track contractual obligations, milestones, renewals, and key deliverables.
  • Identify and mitigate legal, financial, operational, and reputational risks within contractual arrangements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and industry standards.
  • Advise stakeholders on risk allocation, liability management, indemnities, warranties, and dispute resolution provisions.
  • Support internal audits and compliance assessments related to contractual obligations.
Stakeholder Partnership
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders during commercial discussions and procurement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, Security, Compliance, HR, and Operations teams to facilitate contract execution.
  • Act as the primary legal point of contact for contract-related queries and escalations.
Team Leadership & Capability Building
  • Lead and mentor contracts professionals and legal team members.
  • Establish service level agreements (SLAs) and performance metrics for contract turnaround times.
  • Conduct training sessions on contract policies, negotiation strategies, and legal risk awareness.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the contracts management process.
  • Support the resolution of contractual disputes and claims.
  • Coordinate with litigation counsel where required.
  • Ensure proper documentation and preservation of contractual records.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B.) required.
  • Master's Degree in Law (LL.M.) preferred.
  • Additional certifications in DPDP, Contract Management, Corporate Law, or Compliance are desirable.
Experience
  • 10-15 years of post-qualification experience in legal and contract management roles.
  • Significant experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
  • Experience working with cross-functional and senior business stakeholders.
  • Experience in Manufacturing and Chemicals Sector will be an added advantage.
