Job summary

Solar Pacific in the Philippines seeks a Project Development Officer with permitting experience to drive end-to-end renewable energy project development from origination to financial close. You will coordinate cross-functional inputs from Legal, Engineering, Finance, and Permitting, and manage relationships with landowners, LGUs, off-takers, and investors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PRC-licensed) designation is a plus for engineering backgrounds.
• 3+ years of experience in project development, business development, or investment in the energy, infrastructure, or real estate sectors.
• Experience working with Philippine regulatory agencies (DOE, ERC, DENR, EMB, NCIP) and LGUs in a project development capacity. Experience working with NGCP is an advantage.
• Knowledge of project financial models, IRR/NPV analysis, debt sizing, and investment return metrics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Filipino.

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify renewable energy project opportunities.
• Lead project development from concept to NTP with cross-functional teams.
• Develop project development plans for land, permitting, interconnection, financing, and engineering milestones.
• Coordinate with Regulatory Compliance Officer on regulatory timelines.
• Facilitate NGCP grid interconnection processes and POC negotiations.
• Prepare technical studies, site plans, and pre-feasibility reports.
• Manage land acquisition, ROW negotiations, and contacts with landowners.
• Lead offtake strategy and PSA/PPA reviews with Legal and Finance.
• Coordinate with DFIs for project financing and investor materials.
• Engage LGU officials and communities; manage stakeholder communications.
