Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to deliver accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and BOQ development across multiple projects. You will mentor junior staff, improve workflows, and ensure measurement accuracy in line with industry best practices.

The role supports GCC projects remotely, with a hybrid setup of onsite and remote work. Strong English communication and 10+ years in QS are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in quantity surveying or measurement roles.
• Strong experience in quantity take-offs and BOQ preparation in both 2D and 3D.
• Familiarity with measurement standards (e.g., NRM, POMI, or equivalent).
• Proficiency in QS software (e.g., CostX, Revit, or similar) is essential.
• Familiarity with BOQ descriptions in NRM 1 and POMI.
• Good understanding of construction methods.
• Experience working on large-scale construction projects.
• Middle East experience would be advantageous but not essential.
• Good verbal and written communication skills (English).
• Must be amenable to work night shift schedule and hybrid set-up of 3 days onsite work per week.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and BIM models.
• Develop BOQs in line with project requirements and standards.
• Ensure measurements comply with recognised standards and methodologies.
• Draft and issue RFIs.
• Mentor junior staff and support continuous improvement.
