Job summary

Manulife is seeking a Sr. Quality Engineer in Test to join its AI-driven QE Transformation Team. This highly technical role requires hands-on automation expertise and leadership to modernize quality engineering using AI-enabled techniques.

You will design advanced test automation frameworks, integrate into enterprise DevOps, and promote best practices across the organization, while working a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite in Mactan New Town).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
• 7+ years of experience in QA/SDET.
• Willing to work night shift (8pm–5am) and hybrid (3x onsite at Mactan New Town).
• Experience building and maintaining test frameworks with Selenium, Appium, Rest Assured, Pytest, WebDriverIO, Playwright, Cucumber.
• Experience using Postman, GitHub, GitLab, Git, JIRA, Xray for JIRA, Power BI, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, TeamCity).
• Strong programming in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Knowledge of AI tools for testing (GenAI, GitHub Copilot, Agentic AI).
• Experience with LLM models, Prompt Engineering, and Copilot for Test Automation.
• Experience with cloud testing platforms (Perfecto, Sauce Labs, BrowserStack, AWS Device Farm).
• Understanding of BDD, TDD, Shift-left, Mocks/Stubs, Service Virtualization, Synthetic Data, and CI/CD/CT.

• Design and implement advanced test automation frameworks and AI-driven test solutions.
• Develop and promote reliable code to improve maintainability and reusability.
• Integrate tools into enterprise DevOps pipelines for end-to-end automation of testing.
• Enhance and support applications using AI or automation tools and practices.
• Drive adoption of modern test automation frameworks across the organization.
• Establish and enforce automation standards, frameworks, and best practices.
