Job summary

Optum, a UnitedHealth Group Company, is seeking a Software Quality Assurance/Quality Engineer to own quality from requirements through production deployment in a hybrid Manila setting.

You will design, develop, and maintain manual and automated test suites, create test strategies, and collaborate with developers to ensure testability and robust releases. Experience with AI-assisted testing and CI/CD is a plus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering.
• Experience with manual testing methodologies and test design techniques.
• Experience with AI-assisted testing tools and AI-enabled quality practices.
• Solid understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC).
• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman, Wireshark or similar.
• Understanding relational databases and SQL.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, web technologies, and client-server architectures.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and source control systems (Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub, etc)
• Proven solid analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Proven excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

• Create test strategies, test plans, and test cases based on requirements.
• Partner with developers to define acceptance criteria and ensure testability.
