Job summary

Outsourced.ph in the Philippines seeks a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer with a strong background in both manual and automation testing to join a fast-paced development team. You will own end-to-end testing from requirement analysis to test planning, execution, and reporting, ensuring high-quality releases and product stability.

You will design test strategies, build and maintain automation frameworks with Playwright or Selenium, and collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and QA

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on QA experience.
• Experience in both manual and automation testing.
• Experience with JIRA and Postman.
• Experience with Playwright or Selenium.
• Strong Python-based testing (Pytest).
• Familiarity with YAML in test configurations or CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in API testing.
• Database testing (DDL, indexes, triggers).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test strategies and cases across manual and automation scopes.
• Help define and evolve QA approach, processes, and best practices to ensure quality.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure test coverage.
• Set up, maintain, and improve automation test frameworks and pipelines.
• Conduct comprehensive database testing including DDL operations, indexes, triggers, and edge cases.
• Perform API testing using Postman and write robust validation checks.
• Execute functional, integration, regression, risk-based, and exploratory testing.
• Document and report defects clearly using JIRA, ensuring accurate tracking and resolution.
• Leverage tools like Playwright, Selenium or similar frameworks, and Python to automate web tests.
• Validate structured configuration and test data stored in YAML.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies and test cases across both manual and automation scopes
• Help define and evolve QA approach, processes, and best practices to ensure optimal quality standards
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements and ensure test coverage
• Set up, maintain, and improve automation test frameworks and pipelines
• Conduct comprehensive database testing including DDL operations, indexes, triggers, and identifying edge cases such as boundary conditions and constraint violations
• Perform API testing using Postman and write robust validation checks
• Execute functional, integration, regression, risk-based, and exploratory testing
• Document and report defects clearly using JIRA, ensuring accurate tracking and resolution
• Leverage tools like Playwright, Selenium or similar frameworks, and Python to automate web application test scenarios
• Validate structured configuration and test data stored in YAML

About you

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance, with a strong balance of both manual and automation testing
• Proven experience with JIRA, Postman, and Playwright
• Strong understanding of database testing (DDL, indexes, triggers), API testing, and risk-based testing
• Proficient in Python-based testing frameworks (e.g., Pytest)
• Experience with Selenium or similar UI automation frameworks
• Good understanding of data privacy principles and secure testing practices
• Familiarity with YAML and its use in test configurations or CI/CD pipelines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
• Comfortable working independently and in a collaborative agile team environment
