Job Description

Position description: Senior QA Engineer responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability and performance of enterprise software applications through comprehensive manual and automated testing. The role involves test planning, functional and regression testing, UI and API automation, defect management, automation framework development and CI/CD integration. The position requires close collaboration with globally distributed engineering and product teams and participation in continuous improvement and AI-assisted software testing initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and execute comprehensive test cases, test scenarios and test plans based on business and technical requirements.
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression, smoke and sanity testing for enterprise applications.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java, Selenium WebDriver and TestNG.
• Develop and execute API automation and validation using REST Assured and Postman.
• Design, enhance and maintain reusable test automation frameworks and components.
• Analyze test results, identify failures and perform root cause analysis.
• Log, track and manage defects through the complete defect lifecycle using Jira.
• Validate defect fixes through appropriate retesting and regression testing.
• Integrate automated test execution with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Maven.
• Perform database and backend validation using SQL where required.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, estimation, execution and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, business analysts and other QA engineers to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
• Prepare test execution reports, defect reports, automation results and quality status updates.

• Continuously improve QA processes, automation coverage, testing efficiency and quality engineering practices.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual regression effort through automation.
• Support automation framework enhancements, reusable utilities and test-data management.
• Support release readiness activities and provide quality risks, observations and recommendations.
• Contribute to CI/CD-based continuous testing and early defect detection.
• Evaluate and adopt AI-assisted tools for test case generation, automation development, test analysis, debugging and QA productivity.
• Contribute to AI-native QA initiatives and intelligent test automation practices.
• Support Docker-based test execution and test environment activities where applicable.
• Maintain QA documentation, automation documentation and testing standards.
• Share technical knowledge and provide guidance or mentoring to junior QA engineers.
• Stay current with emerging software testing, automation, DevOps and AI-assisted testing technologies.
